Cave-In Crew privacy policy

Effective 26 October 2026 · Irby Works LLC

The game sends nothing until you say yes. The first time you play, it asks once whether to share anonymous crash reports and play statistics. You can change either choice at any time in the pause menu (Esc), and the game works the same either way.

What we never collect

Play statistics (if you opt in)

At the end of each play session the game prepares one short summary and sends it the next time you start the game:

We use this only to see where players get stuck, how long the game holds their interest and what to improve. Summaries are stored on Cloudflare (United States) and deleted automatically after 12 months.

Crash reports (if you opt in)

When the game hits an error or crashes it sends a report to Sentry, a crash-reporting service. A report holds the error and where in the game's code it happened, the game version, your planet and depth, recent game actions, your operating system and graphics card, and an anonymous ID Sentry's software generates. We remove your Windows user name and home folder from error text before sending. Sentry keeps reports under its own retention policy.

Bug reports you send yourself

The pause menu's Copy bug report button copies the game version, your system and the end of the game's log to your clipboard. Nothing is sent; you decide whether to paste it into a message to us.

Your choices

Children

The game does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
